Painted a leather bag with drawings based on an illustrated manuscript from the 13th century. This is what a monk thought salamanders looked like, or, as my sister calls them, ‘sad otters that gave up on life’. Is that kelp or the flames of hell? Nobody knows.

Before and after, wheee, tried to incorporate a ‘nautical’ theme.

Was feeling sick the other day, and Prowl puggles are kind of a nice familiar thing to make when sick, but I thought... Hey, let's make A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT PROWL.

...There's not a whole lot of SG Prowl official info out there, so I kinda... Made things up working with what art there IS?

Now Prowl in my head is an exceedingly cheerful crooked cop who's one track mind goes right to Crazy Town.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING and I'm not 100% happy with this final result, but twitter seems to like this dude, so...

Someone jokingly suggested "zuggles". As in, "ZUG ZUG. WUT NEED DOIN'??" orc peon.

This is what happened.

Little fangs, basic fur animal coat thing... Felt cudgel with foam spikes that can be removed.

... I'm KINDA tempted to make more with different weapons and fur coats but, again, not really happy with the final result. I feel like it's missing something.

Ah well.

Someone on twitter suggested IDW Firestar and I figured what the hey, A CHALLENGE.

I had no idea how else to do her little head flame thing. XD

And her face crest came with the issue of "I like the size and look of this, but the ears get hidden, OH I KNOW I'LL CUT SOME HOLES"

I got some cheap pieces of scrap leather and some paints so I painted a TEST CARBUNCLE

...and testing how the varnish glaze works on the paint and leather, hence weird halo
